What does Hisaabwala actually do?
It is a place to record and retrieve the day to day paperwork of a trading business. Sales and purchase entries, customer and supplier records, money received and money paid, credit outstanding against each party, stock movement and routine expenses. You enter the data, and it stays organised and searchable instead of living across a notebook, a phone gallery and three WhatsApp threads.
Is Hisaabwala accounting or tax software?
No. Hisaabwala is a data entry and record keeping utility. It is not accounting, audit, taxation or compliance software, it is not connected to any government portal, and nothing it produces is a statutory document or a book of account. Words like invoice and ledger are used in their ordinary everyday sense as labels for a data field. Keep working with your chartered accountant for anything statutory.
Can I track udhaar and outstanding credit against each customer?
Yes. Every party has a running record of what was billed, what was received and what is still outstanding, with dates. You can see who owes you money and how long it has been pending without adding it up by hand.
Do I need to install software or buy a server?
No. It runs in a browser on a laptop, a desktop at the counter or a phone. Nothing to install, nothing to maintain, and you can sign in from anywhere.
Will it work on a phone?
Yes. The interface is built for a phone first, because most owners check figures on a phone between customers rather than sitting at a desk. Everything you can do on a laptop, you can do on a handset.
What happens if I do not renew?
Access to the workspace stops when the term ends. Your records are not deleted at that point, and you can download the lot to Excel yourself before or after it lapses. You are never locked out of your own figures.
My business does not work the way the software expects. What then?
